Flame in the Wind
This little flame was made to be added into a pattern you already have that just needs a little something extra.
When I made this up it was meant to be done with in a single crochet (sc) stitch but can be converted into a Double crochet (dc) or even a knitted pattern.
I will write it up as if it is a sc pattern and as a wash cloth. later I will explain how to convert it into a dc or knitted pattern.
1. fsc 26 or ch 26, ch 1 turn (if you used the chain method work in second chain from hook for row 2)
2. using background color (A) sc 12, using main color (B) sc 2, background color (A) sc 12, ch 1 turn
3. A sc 12, B sc 3, A sc 11, ch 1 turn
4. A sc 11, B sc 4, A sc 11, ch 1 turn
5. A sc 10, B sc 6, A sc 10, ch 1 turn
6. A sc 9, B sc 8, A sc 9, ch 1 turn
7. A sc 8, B sc 10, A sc 8, ch 1 turn
8. A sc 7, B sc 12, A sc 7, ch 1 turn
9. A sc 6, B sc 14, A sc 6, ch 1 turn
10. A sc 5, B sc 15, A sc 6, ch 1 turn
11. A sc 5, B sc 4, in center color (C) sc 2, B sc 4, C sc 2, B sc 5, A sc 4, ch 1 turn
12. A sc 4, B sc 4, C sc 4, B sc 2, C sc 4, B sc 4, A sc 4, ch 1 turn
13. A sc 4, B sc 4, C sc 10, B sc 4, A sc 4, ch 1 turn
14. A sc 3, B sc 4, C sc 12, B sc 3, A sc 4, ch 1 turn
15. A sc 4, B sc 3, C sc 12, B sc 4, A sc 3, ch 1 turn
16. A sc 3, B sc 4, C sc 12, B sc 4, A sc 3, ch 1 turn
17. A sc 3, B sc 5, C sc 10, B sc 5, A sc 3, ch 1 turn
18. A sc 3, B sc 6, C sc 8, B sc 6, A sc 3, ch 1 turn
19. A sc 4, B sc 7, C sc 6, B sc 7, A sc 3, ch 1 turn
20. A sc 3, B sc 8, C sc 4, B sc 7, A sc 4, ch 1 turn
21. A sc 4, B sc 9, C sc 2, B sc 9, A sc 3, ch 1 turn
22. A sc 3, B sc 18, A sc 5, ch 1 turn
23. A sc 5, B sc 17, A sc 4, ch 1 turn
24. A sc 4, B sc 16, A sc 6, ch 1 turn
25. A sc 6, B sc 16, A sc 4, ch 1 turn
26. A sc 5, B sc 15, A sc 6, ch 1 turn
27. A sc 7, B sc 14, A sc 5, ch 1 turn
28. A sc 6, B sc 12, A sc 8, ch 1 turn
29. A sc 8, B sc 11, A sc 7, ch 1 turn
30. A sc 8, B sc 9, A sc 9, ch 1 turn
31. A sc 9, B sc 8, A sc 9, ch 1 turn
32. A sc 10, B sc 6, A sc 10, ch 1 turn
33. A sc 10, B sc 5, A sc 11, ch 1 turn
34. A sc 12, B sc 4, A sc 10, ch 1 turn
35. A sc 10, B sc 3, A sc 13, ch 1 turn
36. A sc 14, B sc 2, A sc 10, ch 1 turn
37. A sc 10, B sc 1, A sc 15, ch 1 turn
38. A sc acround to make a broder. 3 sc in each corner. Make sure you ave the same number on each side
Now in order to convert this pattern into a dc you would simply do each stitch 2x the amount said. For example row 2 would be -A dc 24, B dc 4, A dc 24-. When creating the border use 5 dc in each corner.
If you would like to try this pattern in a knit you simply do each row 2x (but not row 1)
CO 26, K row 1 turn, P row 1 (but work row backwords), K row 2 turn, P row 2 (but work row backwrods)
I have taken the time to share my hard work and I am happy to let you sell what you might be making with it. Please take the time to give credit where credit is do.
